So Morla got a new Exo Terra 36 x 18 x 18. She is on coco-coil, has a humid hide, a small water dish, food always present, custom humidifer, anyone see anything that I may be missing? Picture attached. Thanks in advance for advice!

The lamp on the left that is slightly protruding from the fixture. Is that a compact coil florescent?
If so, these lights damage tortoises eyes.
Can you get a photo of the lighting?

One more suggestion, then...This type of digital combination temperature and humidity gauge is about $10 at Home Depot and is SO superior to those dial gauges.
And if you have yet another twenty bucks, get a lazer thermometer. This way you can check the exact temperature of any area. Any thing.

I sure hope so! What are your thoughts on plastic plants as decoration? Safe or not? They look so good, but worry about someone trying to eat them. Oh I just caught the NO help... Your posts have been of great help! Remember the research? :)

Copy that... I fear live plants would get destroyed too, but at least they'd be safe...
They will be mashed into pieces :( but You can put a small pot of basil or some other herb which You can find in a grocery store or hunt for weeds in a non polluted/fertilised area - for free :) and put them in a low flower pot with a bit of earth to grow. I grow grass in my enclosure :)

I had the prettiest planted vivarium when the babies were little and not as bold. Now whatever I put in there gets torn down in mater of hours. I think Kasia is onto something with the grass. I'm giving up on plants for now, the "kids" are ready to start spending daytime in tort garden outside so the viv is only to serve as a bedroom until they outgrow it at which point we either take on another hatching (or 2:) or re-do the 40 gal tank into something else for some other pets for my boys. These babies got to be such little bulldozers that I couldn't even rotate live plants anymore. They were not growing fast enough! I love the look of planted terrarium, so maybe the next occupant will be some small gentle animal that will appreciate pretty landscape
