Move out side

Hi I want to see if anybody could help me I’ve move my tortoise outside now as he’s got two big inside but he’s not happy at all he keeps coming back indoors looking for he’s home I don’t know what to do I think he’s sad

Tortoises don't get sad. That's a human emotion. They just get used to their territory and now he isn't in his territory. They don't like change but that's where we need to know what's best for them. Give him time to get used to his new home. Once he realizes how much better it is, that it's safe and there is now enemies, he will adjust and be much better with the move.

It won't take long and he will be his normal self but better cuz he's outside.

Exactly. They are programmed to know “home” (safe, food, water, shelter). Now it’s in a new location and doesnt know up from down. Ps - shut the door. 🐢🙂

Are the temperatures correct outside for your species? Does the tortoise have a heated, insulated, secure night box outside?

You tortoise should not be able to walk into your house. That is a recipe for disaster.

I have had him from egg and now he over 15lb
It won't take long and he will be his normal self but better cuz he's outside.

I would remove the hay/straw. Besides it being a fire hazard it can easily mold and quite drying.
