Hi all, I have an outdoor pasture area for my torts. It is currently not being used due to the cold weather, but when I was out there the other day, there are mushrooms growing out there. Large flat ones. I cant find a good site to ID them. They have a stem, but grow low.
Remove them? or ok if torts eat them after ID'd of course..

Mushrooms can be tough to id. If they are not hurting anything just leave them be. I wouldn't feed to the torts without a positive id.

i echo Itort's thoughts...
however, i'd remove the fungus before allowing your tortoises to graze...just in case

I removed them. Its sunny today, so I put torts out in the yard for a bit.. I took a few pics. So if anyone knows how to ID shrooms.. I can send them to you. I still can't get a pic to download to this site..:(

In order to id mushrooms you need to look at gill patern, spore color and type, habitat, ect. One big hassle. My brother does it and it confuses me no end.
