While soaking my baby (5 months old) Cherry head, I noticed tine mites(I think) walking all over shell. How do I get rid of them. I will be changing her substrate tonight, She has the dirt I had to soak that came in a brick and coco shell as her substrate. I keep her
/him clean. He /she Poops in soaks , but she/he likes to burro. any ideas?

Most likely just springtails. They're harmless to your tortoise and they help clean up waste, no worries.

I agree with Toddrickfl1. They are most likely just the springtails which occur in moist substrates and eat detritus. They will not harm your tortoise. The only way I know to get rid of them is to dry out the substrate completely which is not good for your tortoise.
