Thank you for the nice comment. So far he has eaten 3 of my tetra fish :D

Also I have a question, my razorback is not used to eating from surface yet. Any idea how to make him eating his pellet from water surface?

Mine scavenged for the first week or two. They finally realized the food floats and feed off the pellets, also brine shrimp. He will get it, just will take time. Keep feeding tho. 3 fish tho! Lol he might just like fresh sushi for lunch spoiled ;)

I get it, thanks Millerlite.

Yes he is king of the aquarium now. Anything swimming slow, he snaps it. I will just let him until he gets used to the floating pellet.

Waiting for my picta dorsalis shipment today. I will post picture of it once he arrives :)

It's here! My picta dorsalis just arrived this evening from the pet shop.

Here is his first shot in the aquarium. We also can see the razorback's shell below.

This other shot proves that picta really loves basking. He readily used the turtle bank as soon as he is in aquarium and did some basking.

So now I have bottom dweller king and the new one rules the surface :D
Time to give names for them :p

They are very nice :D
Congrats.

Yes they are :D

Trying to get a high color picta, but it's hard to even buy a painted turtle in my country. He is cool enough though :)

He is so cool!

I wish I could own so many like you!

Does it cost a Ton to keep them all?

Thank you :D

The cost is always lower than the satisfaction

For all the things I spent to provide enclosure for them, I think it takes around USD 300 to start all things, with the mvb being the most expensive parts. But then I start to add things, and they get more and more costly :tort:

For daily care, the biggest cost goes to mazuri pellet for turtles. I mostly feed them those pellets. Maybe like USD 20-30 per month for food cost, water and electricity.

They are sharp! (Pun intended)

They are pigs, especially the razorback. He eats all my tetra fish :D
Luckily the remaining are zebra fish and Sumatra. Both are quick enough to get away from being side dish.

Very cool, I like the razorback. We will see just how quick zebra fish are.

There is always no guarantee I think. What I see now, as long as the water condition is perfect, the zebra is pretty fast. So far i still see zero death for zebra after 2 months.

Lets count his victims so far:
16 neon tetra, 1 sumatra, 3 mollies, 4 albino tetra, 4 black tetra

My picta seems not interested in eating live fish at all, and so far my razorback seems to ignore the remaining fish in the aquarium. He might be thinking of them of some kind of back up dish. So we'll see :D

I like how my razorback and southern painted get along in the aquarium. Sometimes my painted will ride on the razorback's shell :D
