Me and my mom just setup my 10 gallon tank for my soon to come hatchling common musk turtle what do you guys think? And yes i know i cant keep my turtle in this for long, as soon as it gets about 2 inches i will buy a 40 gallon.

Looks like you're going to have one happy little turtle.
Is that rock a cave or just a rock? Sometimes they like to hide

Looks good but a single piece if advise I would like to give you that I learned the hard way.Is get yourself a nice filter. I skimped out at first time trying to save money and in the end bought 4 different kinds of filters before I found one I liked for my set up.

Yes, a good canister filter is preferable. Turtles do poo a lot and water gets dirty pretty fast. Also it is preferable to condition the filter like a week or two for micro growth. That will help you start everything faster without need to change water too many times per week. Putting several hardy fish like zebra is good for that purpose.
