Made my tortoises home from my daughters old dresser, it's 3x3 ft. So far it seems to be a great home for them. Any suggestions :)

Forgot to load the pictures :)

I like it!
I'm not seeing a water bowl. Is the faux stone thing near the middle a water bowl? I like to use shallow wide terra cotta plant saucers. The tortoises seem to feel much more comfortable with them since they are so shallow and offer good traction. I sink them into the substrate so the top of the bowl is level with the substrate.

Yes it is and I'm changing the water bowl and as I have mentioned I'm going to change the substrate.

As you are planning to do, replace the sand with organic topsoil (home supply/garden store is fine) or coir, fine orchid bark, etc. Keep that area moister (not sopping, but add some water weekly or so to keep the underlayers moist.

Snake bedding is aspen and this is OK for part of the enclosure in a more rainy climate. Mine like to burrow at night in this.

Agree with the water bowl; many don't use it, but they need the opportunity.

Overall I really like your set up; nice job!
