A friend stopped traffic to keep this guy from being roadkill. He is at home now waiting for me to find him a pond.
Any idea what kind he is? Not RES for sure.
He is 9" long.

Really doesn't matter, as its illegal to release them here in Calif. And no, I don't take water turtles anymore, thank you very much!!

This is a cool and happy ending to the story. This is Paul and his 8 kids at the family pond. Turtle heaven.

Yvonne, this pond is 3 miles East of you. Paul said he would love to take any turtles that need a home.

Oh good! I put up a little RES to hibernate last fall and he'll need a pond if he ever wakes up. I'll PM you for Paul's info. Is he off Shaw? There's a guy who repairs wood stoves who's pond look similar to your pictures.

On greenwood north of shaw. You can see the pond in google maps. Pond is kind of dog legged shaped.
