Hi guys!

Donatello got here last friday and he seems to be enjoying himself. Ive noticed he likes to hang out under the basking lamp even during nighttime so I havent really seen him interact with the rest of the enclosure but its seemingly going well. He eats well and passes food regularly. Dont see him drink much but tbf the water level in his tub is definitely lowering. (Also im getting a terra cotta saucer when i find an inexpensive one online or nearby i live in middle of nowhere texas). I got him a basking lamp that gives him 95-100, a uvb that provides him the correct uvb for the distance i currently have it at, and a CHE set to 75. Using coco coir for substrate and the only issues i have so far is smell. So far so good, havent noticed any irregularities or bad conditions. Only thing i noticed he doesnt like is getting his daily soak, he loves to dig and burrow so I guess when he doesnt get that opportunity 24/7 he gets antsy. (Children yearn for the mines!) anyway alls good in the hood rn but ill take some pics just incase im doing something wrong. Also plants are fake and pretty durable so hard for him to eat them mistakenly.

Every day for around 10-30 minutes in warm water. Do you think im not soaking enough? Also one thing ive noticed is he doesnt pass urates often. Is that a daily type thing or every other week thing. Just curious
No, daily is enough. I just asked because if you don't see him drunk you can avoid dehydration with a consistent soaking routine. Passing urates really varies, but as long as the urates themselves are healthy everything is fine.
