Okay, so I have had my female tortoise since february and I still haven't named her! I was torn between Stella and Daisy for a while but now I am not sure about either one. Any suggestions for what to name her would be awesome! I kind of wanted something dignified or unusual...

How old is your tortoise? You do realise that gender isn't an absolute certainty until they're much older (5 years or more), don't you?

They can be bred to be female, but it's not an exact science.

I'd go for a more gender neutral, or easily changed, name if it's a youngster!

When naming my daughter, the ex-dh and I got a name book and crossed out the ones we didn't like and circled what we loved. Repeat process several times until you only have a few names left and then huzzah! baby named.

Our classroom tort is named QiuQiu (choh-choh) it means "lucky" in Chinese.
