Hey all!

So I got a hatchling in January. He is only about 3” long right now. So far healthy and happy indoors.

Problem is I have had respiratory issues since getting him. I don’t know if it’s a coincidence or if his waste is causing it. I’m good at cleaning up after him. I check every day or poop and change the bedding regularly.

I love my little guy. So my question is if he is too small to have a secure outdoor enclosure for the summer. I’d make sure animals couldn’t get to him. Temps get pretty hot in KS in summer.

But is he too small?

Yes, he is too small. Babies do best when kept mostly indoors.

What species? What type of enclosure? What temperatures are you maintaining? What type of bulbs are you using for basking and UV?
