I have had Chuck for about 2 years now. In that time it seems like every time I make a hide for him the next thing I do is make the door bigger. Last Spring I built a night box for him and he moved outside 24/7. I was positive the box was big enough to last for a couple of years.

Here is Chuck going into the box last April:

And here he is coming out of the box this morning:

Who would of thought he would grow this much?

LOL he's beautiful. He does still fit though. For a while :D

Thanks. I am afraid he will go inside one night and not be able to fit through the door the next morning.

I, too, must comment on your fine example of a tortoise. As for the doorway, maybe make it too big and have it slide off to one side? Although I don't think it would seal as well as a drawbridge type, at least you won't be making resizing changes regularly.

Man, you are preaching to the choir! If I had a dollar for every time I had to enlarge a door for a growing sulcata... I'd have a whole lotta dollars. :)
