Hey everyone I have some questions on how everyone is putting their lights on their enclosure. I just built my first one it's about 80"x30"x12". Lot bigger than my first thought( a Rubbermaid tub). So far I have a 4 foot long fluorescent light and 2 12 in brooder fixtures. I probably need more light but for starters how should I hang them. Pictures below. Oh yeah I don't have any torts yet but am planning on getting a sulcata. Thanks

If you could attach a piece of 2x4 to each end and then bolt a long piece of 2x4 across the top ip high enough to allow for the positioning of your lights...:D

Thats a good idea now how high do i need to make it off the substrate. I know it depends on the light and how hot its making the ground but to start off with? Im getting a 150 watt mvb and a 150 che. If i set it to high then I could just lower them off the 2x4 but how is everyone hanging their lights? Thanks for all the help I want to get it right before I get a little bugger

I was going to suggest the same thing as Angela. I would go 36" high and then hang your lamps down from there to get the temps you want.

Thanks for your advice that went very easy. Now one more question how many lamps do I need to heat this thing? I have a 150 Che and a 125 mvb both around 15 inches away from the substrate and I top off at 80 under both. The other side is around 62-67. Am I gonna need a lot bigger bulbs or just a lot more? Thanks for your advice.
