Ive noticed Buddy recently scratching at and trying to climb up the walls of her box. She does this a good few times a day, seems to get annoyed and then walks away. Is she trying to nest to lay eggs? As you may know ive only had her a few months and not sure whats totally normal. Any ideas would be great. Thanks x

My tortoises do that all the time they get bored and they start to climb walls usually if she will lay eggs it will be restless and start diging holes untill it finds a suitible nesting place

Sounds like Buddy is looking for the exit! Its normal for them to explore the area they are in. Boredom can be a problem indoors, I try and make things interesting for them as much as possible with hiding places and some rocks and bits of old logs. Even then they do spend a certain amount of time checking out the boundaries.

More space is always better if there's a way to provide it too.
