Hi everyone,

I just got a 3 1/2 month old dwarf redfoot (cherryhead) tortoise yesterday. So far all he's done is hide in his hollow log. He has fresh water and food available if he chooses to come out and I think the temperature is about right. Is there anything else I should be doing for him to ease his transition?

Cherries are so pretty aren't they? Welcome to tortoises and this great site. Like Larry said, it's easier to give you ideas once we know more facts. Just relax and give him some time to settle in also.
