New growth??

Thor has been eating like crazy recently and I think I am starting to see new growth on my little hatchling!! Is he looking pretty good? just excited to share my babe!!

Hmm well just took these photos today.
He's been eating & pooping a lot. No big noticable growth on the shell, but I'm sure it will come soon

Squirtle seems to have lightened up over all but the dark lines in between the scutes are nicely contrasted!! Can't believe our babies are growing up!!

It might just be the light because these photos were taken underneath his basking light. He's actually getting darker than when I first purchased him O_O Like he has a tan. Wondering if it's because he spends most of his time under his basking light? lol

Not stupid at all! A great question Sometimes there are white lines. Other times you will just see little ridges kind of. In Apollo's and Thor's pictures, you can clearly see the new growth. Its just kind of like teeth. They pop up from underneath, and you can see the fresh teeth. Shell growth is somewhat like that. You will see the 'new' underneath pop up like teeth.
