Oh my goodness y'all... I am seriously about to cry. During his soak just now I noticed and had to take a picture to compare but... I got my baby about a month and a half ago and- Bmo has some new scute growth. His previous owners were clueless about humidity and had him in an open table with just orchid bark. Since then, I have converted a 65 Gal Rubbermaid tub to a pretty decent enclosure with some coco coir and some misting and soaks and fed him weeds, grass, Mazuri and a ...little grocery greens. The first picture on the left is the first time I ever held him, the picture on the right is from just now. I can't stop smiling!!! His new growth is ivory white and smooth as a baby's butt! Hope you can see it well enough. This is so encouraging to me. He is my first tort (turtles in the past) and without all of the help and advice I'm not sure it would be this positive. And the thing is- you never know if you're doing things right and you always worry about pyramiding! So what a relief to see flat scute growth! You guys are the only people that will truly understand how excited I am!!!
