Just woke up to a very surreal feeling that I live here now, first night in the new house, feels a bit like I'm on holiday, and o dear do I ache from lugging things down three lots of concrete stairs at my old flat...
Anyway, this is the part of the garden where Phillips new outdoor bit will be I'm starting it Monday as I have a week off :) phillip is a RT, will I be able to use the greenhouse as part of it or will it be too humid for him, I know they are less than 40% humid...

It's a bit overgrown and needs some care :)

Also to anyone in the UK are there any plants I need to look out for and remove that would make him ill

Also to ALL IN THE UK are there any plants I need to look out for and remove that could cause damage?

I'm sure Phillip will love using the greenhouse as somewhere to sleep and warm up in the morning. Put a shelter in there with some hay in it for him to dig into, but leave the green house door open so he can leave if he wishes. I have a cold frame that serves the same purpose :)

With regard to garden plants in the UK... we've had Joe for 42 years.

There are 3 types of plant in your garden

1. Edible.
The subspecies are:
a) Ones you want him to eat
b) Ones you don't want him to eat because you like them
c) The one you bought yesterday at the garden centre that vanished in seconds

2. Trampled
The subspecies are:
a) Ones you don't mind
b) Ones you don't want him to trample because you like them
c) The one you bought yesterday at the garden centre...

3. Too big to trample or inedible
These just get ignored

I do not go round my garden pulling up stuff that is potentially toxic Joe. Life is too short and he has enough choice among the good stuff. I even have a yew in my garden.

Do check the entire garden out for potential escape holes and anywhere where he might decide to dig in... even a tortoise Joe's size is easy to lose

Phillip will probably appreciate having the grass cut a little shorter... it's easier to graze. Joe doesn't like long grass unless he wants to sleep among it.
