new leopard owner

Hi everyone! I'm Sam and the new leopord tortoise is for me!!! So I need to know what temperature you reccomend having for the basking spot and the backround temp? My setup for now is about a 3 foot by 1 foot glass tank, holds around 35 gallons i think. Any feedback on what substrate I should use and what kinds of things I should put in the tank for the tortoise to have to climb and bask on and things like that would be great! Also, any recomendations on how often I should soak my tortoise and spray my tortoise and how exactly I do those things would be greatly appreciated as well considering this is very new for me! Thanks for all the help!
Oh and my tortoise is about the size of a hand and i believe he is still a baby though I dont know for sure because i havent seen him yet!

Read that, and it will give you the basics, then you can drill in and ask more direct questions.

Glass tanks really stink when it comes to torts. So please consider it temporay and start looking for or building (very simple) a tort table ASAP. I'm assuming this is a hatchling or otherwise very young\small tort, right?

Alright I will get right on that reading! And yes this is a temporary setup, I would like to build something for it outside but I dont have an enclosed backyard so I havent figured out what to do about that yet. What is a tort table? Im ready to do anything I need to for my tort. And yes, the tort is a bday present so I havent seen it yet, but its still small.
