I lost my last post and coudnt upload pics --- anyway if anyone can let me know if my new adoptee is male of female I would really appreciate it. any guesses on age would be great too. If there is anyone on the forum in Hawaii and you feel comfortable PM me I could use a phone chat on basic support.
This is our rescue pet. The finder took the pic in the brick hallway where S/he was rescued. I hope these are good enough pics to tell the gender

We'll have to see pictures of the underside of the tortoise including the tail area before we can tell you for sure, but I'm guessing male.

Underneath, best is place it on its back and take the picture from the tail forward at a 45 degree angle Ty

Love the coloring of his carapace. You had mentioned that someone had drilled a hole into his shell. Can we see a pic of that too. Thanks.

My guess for the hole would be that someone had drilled a hole so they could attach a rope or something to keep him from running off. That's just a guess, but I have heard of people doing that.

I figured so which makes things convenient but I am a bit saddened by the disrespect for the animal. We have come to a name though. Percilla is out as per feedback it looks like a male and we are name gender bias - plus he likes to ram over anything in his way until he gets in. Already making his way into the house and through the screen door so no need for Tort (doggy) door installation as it has already been provided. His new name is "Tank".
