It may take a few days, he can go a long time without eating. Just keep him hydrated.

For substrate get some kind of soil/dirt that he can dig into and bury himself, you can keep the repti-bark or cypress on top, Keep the dirt a little damp.

Im headed to homedepot ..any particular soil you recommend??

With all top soil one thing I've always done is sift it. If you have a screen from the top of an aquarium or any large screen material it works great. I like the timberline brand at homedepot better but sometimes it stinks.

If you have a spot in the yard to dig that's untreated by chemicals it always works best.

Im in nyc..apt...have no choice for but to settle for this...definately will sift through it...ty again for your wisdom...
