Sunday I picked up a 7 month old Sulcata that I have named Harper!
WARNING- Lengthy description below if you want to know specifics, If not please scroll on down for the cute pics
She is (for now) in a 6x3 enclosed chamber. Her base temps are between 85-78 degrees. Basking area is 102. Two hides one in the 78 range the other is 84. Humidity, I am still working on improving, is at 60-70% depending if I just soaked it. Other than that I have a warm air humidifier in there on a timer that I need to turn up.
Powersun 150 watt on one end, che & a Solar Raptor UV set up on the other. On my UV Meter it is reading at 160. Power sun reads at 60.
She has spent the last few days hiding, only eating when I put her in her food bowl & just a few bites then. Today, I soaked her under basking area & then she went to her food bowl & ate Mazuri, dandelion, chicory, endive, wheat grass, & pumpkin, which was all top off with salad topper mix from Carolina pet supply. I also alternate with TNT. Cuttle bone in all the time & calcium with D3 twice a week. I have a green house in my basement & all kinds of things are sprouting to round this off until we get some better weather outside. So happy to finally see her exploring today!
