new tortoise need help

I got a new tortoise a week ago and he always scratching in the corner and i put new substrate i mixed repti bark and eco earth loose coconut and is he still afraid of me?

Tortoises don’t like change, and he’s likely still afraid of everything. Can we see pictures of your tortoise and enclosure?

i cant my computer dont take picture but it a 4 foot by 4 foot tub

Your enclosure is too small. While he is still new and a bit scared of everything, the scratching most likely won't stop as its also a way to tell you he needs more space. I like to recommend 4x8 feet, but the bigger the better!
