hi im wondering if anyone can help me im purchasing a 3 month old redfoot tortoise next week but im wondering what type of uvb bulb I will need as in what percent and wattage? if anyone could help me id be very greatful thankyou

Remember what ever bulb you by is only good for 6 months to one year

Hello and Welcome. If you live in a warm area, you can just get him outside for a few days a week and you won't need the artificial UVB. However, most RF owners seem to do better with the fluorescent tube, not cfl kind.

Remember...types/wattage size will also vary a huge amount on factors such as enclosure size, enclosed or not, placement of enclosure within the room and even height at where you place it. Ex: Ground level or 5' up on a table.
