Hello from Vancouver, Canada!

Our family is in the process of gathering of information and supplies to get a Russian tortoise.

Excited to get one but I there's so much to know so I'm glad I'm here!

First question - how do I know if I've found a reputable breeder? I found an ad on Kijiji and want to make sure it's a good place to get it. Any questions I should ask or red flags?

Ask how they start them, with or without humidity and do they soak them if so how often.
Hatchlings should be soaked in warm water daily and have a humidity of 80% in a closed chamber

Read the care sheet on here for Russians. If the breeder doesn't do as is written in care sheet or the humidity etc, move on.
