I just brought home a rescue tortoise yesterday, Susie Q. She is a really sweet redfoot that is said to be 6 years old. She has some scarred scutes that look like she may have been bitten by a dog at one time and her beak is a bit jagged. I would like some opinions on if I need to do anything special for the areas that suffered damage at some point. They are healed for the most part but if I can do anything to improve the spots I would like to know. 6E495CA3-FADF-4A28-87A1-2D7605A76D19.jpegC884329F-3D8D-45CB-951A-F09247A09D97.jpeg5546CEA1-F662-4212-992F-7F1F23DD82FE.jpeg3916ACFF-91B8-4567-8545-C5523F9F0F85.jpeg

All in all he or she looks pretty good.
And whatever caused that scarring seems healed and will require nothing.
The scute that has the crack looks like THAT might be years old.
