Hi all

Had hactchling pop out last Sunday. The poor liitle guy had a very large yolk sack which has closed nicely...I've noticed over the week his back legs are a bit stumpy but he seems to get about ok. This morning i noticed he has no tail.(photo attached) but he seems to be moving and eating ok. 1 of 3 from the same clutch others are fine. Any advice? 20171209_075255.jpg

Can he or she use the restroom or was it developed enough?

I cannot quite tell from that photograph if there is a cloacal opening there, but it looks like either there is not one or there is a severe stricture. If there is not one present or if there is only a tiny opening and solid waste does not pass freely, the kindest act would be to euthanize immediately instead of waiting for things to build up internally and progressively increase suffering.
