Normal soil?

Hello.
Can I use normal soil in an outdoor enclosure. I have never put any fertiliser on any plants in our garden and the soil is free of anything. He has been on soil before but this is going to be 24/7. His enclosure will be half soil and half tiles with a cold frame a mini hutch with some weeds , some overturned logs and plant pots.

Just the way the flower bed is formed. But his cold frame will be on the tiles and will have a coco coir Base and the little hutch will also be on the tiles so I suppose that only about 1/5 will be tiles. They're not slippery, they're just like patio tiles. I will try and post a picture if needed
