Hi, I’ve just found an almost dream home, down side is a north facing garden. I’ve always kept tropical species but part of the reason for the move is more outdoor space and to keep Meds outdoors. How much of an issue is a north facing garden with a greenhouse setup? Based in Yorkshire.

Will it get any sun for part of the day?

Is it big enough to have part of it unshaded by the house? And a greenhouse will be tall, and therefore catch sun that won't hit the ground. Could you visit it at different times of day to see how the sun moves across it?

It certainly will get sun at different times of day, almost the entire garden is hit by the sun from the east in the morning. There is always a part of the garden in sunlight and I reckon one side would be in sunlight for most of the day. Difficulty is I’ve viewed it and the photos were taken in late summer when the sun is quite high so hard to say the impact of early spring or autumn sun will have.
