Nose color

I noticed that the one side of my tortoises nose has been getting lighter. Now it's really light. I took a pic of him while soaking but he wouldn't stay still. For some reason a year later he is still shy. Hoping it's nothing serious. ThanksDSC_0848.JPG

I don't think its anything to worry about. It looks to me as if the rest of the skin is stained brown and the lighter portion is just clean skin. I'll bet if you took a soft bristle tooth brush and scrub his legs and head the rest of him would lighten up too.

I really didn't think so but I am novice and wanted an opinion. I will try the toothbrush. I use a toothbrush on his shell but like I said he is very shy. When I go by him he runs up to me but then I pick him up and he hides.

If plain water doesn't work, you can use baby shampoo. It won't sting his eyes if you happen to get some in there.
