One year old Horsfield missing

Oh well eight days ago Raphael went missing
Have raked and gently dug up soil in desperation ( put water out and cress ) had sunny days and rainy nights but no sign of him - just emptied and cleaned his home , washed it and now had to put in attic away ( as I kept looking in it thinking he was still in there) my heart tells me we won't see him again - that's my feeling but my husband said if something had taken him he would have see it as he was opposite our tortoise - I just hope he never suffered or if he's wandered off he will be found safe

Most missing torts seem to turn up again, sometimes weeks or months after they escape.
Don't give up hope now.

I would have left his home and familiar things intact for longer than 8 days. But that is just me. I have a lot of years of experience of "miracles" happening when you have long given up hope.

Don't give up hope... you may yet get a pleasant, if rather muddy, surprise come next spring

Same thing happen to me about 5 days ago. I have 4 Russians in an outdoor enclosure and I have not been able to find one. There is no way he could have escaped. He's done this to me before but I can usually find him quickly. I am just hoping he buried himself very well and will turn up soon. Crossing my fingers our torts turn up!

I am so sorry. Mine escaped and we searched all over. I found him the next day right out in the grass in the full sun. Fingers crossed for you.
