I have tried to create a nice garden feature that also happens to have a tortoise in it. my husband built the wall for me although I wasn't expecting anything quite so substantial!

ImageUploadedByTortForum1370803598.542104.jpg Steel reinforced foundations, concrete going in

She has a makeshift house until tomorrow when I'll buy her a terracotta pot.

What do you think?

Thanks everyone! Miss Polly has been very active since she went in there which I'm hoping is because she likes it. Today I'll buy her a terracotta hide and I was thinking of getting a couple of turfs.

Yes the tank is a gas canister which supplies gas to the hob in the kitchen. There is no mains gas in Cyprus.

Instead of turf, what about heat hardy plants like Rosemary, lavender, etc? Your tort can burrow under them to keep cool.
And perhaps add a couple of terra cotta pots as hides in different locations for more choices.
Have you looked at the Tortoise Table UK site for plant ideas?
