Hey guys.
I'm going to be making Spud an outdoor enclosure and would like some advise and opinions on if my plan would work.
So, first off, some information about my Spud.
Spud is a yearling hermanns tortoise.
Now my plan:
I was planning on building a large table-type enclosure with netting on top so that it is dog proof. The reason that I was thinking about the table idea is so that we can move it around to keep it in the sun as there is not any suitable areas for a permanent enclosure as the only free area doesn't get any sun.
I was planning on filling it with peat and then planting it with a seed mix.
Lots of shade and hiding places, too.
I also thought about having a Perspex box to act as a humid/heat box as it doesn't get very hot in England
So I guess, do you think that this could work? Also, do you have any advise on outdoor enclosures in general?
Thank you!
