Alright there's a guy in my area that is trying to sell me a pancake for $75. Maybe it's just me but this little guy doesn't look healthy. What do you guys think?
WHOA! thats pretty bad pyramiding. More than likely thart price is because of his pyramiding. Unfortunatley that would be irreversible at that animals size. But you could still feed it properly and give it a wonderful life.
Quarentine is always the best option when adding another tort. 6 months is usually a good term for a length of time. Its always the best for each animal you have.
I have a red foot, I don't know if I should Get this guy or not, cause we are planning on getting a baby Leo from eweezy (spelling). But I feel so bad for this guy that I don't want him to go to another home that won't be any better
Why not both? More than likely this animals pyramiding was caused by housing and food problems. WHich isnt really to blame on the owner especially in a speculative approach. Pancakes arent super common but I suppose some people seeing them in pet stores would just oooohhhh and ahhh over because of the shape and flatness they have. That is really cheap for a pancake, so I would maybe see if you could inspect him and see his enclosure before going to mile to get him. Could be super healthy and just severely pyramided or could have some problems. Pancakes are pretty straight forward torts though. The are kinda shy and will run off when let them out of your hands if picked up. So maybe you can check him out and base the decision on seeig him first hand. I say go for it either way. On both accounts. Then you will have 3 different torts.
