Peculiar Beak Growth

One of my yearling sulcata tortoises recently started developing a pecular growth below her lower jaw. My question is, should I just leave this alone or clip/grind it down? I'm fairly adept in terms of my fine motor skills and am certain I could cleanly remove it, but am I best off just leaving it alone? I just don't want it to grow further, bother him, or potentially be more difficult to remove in the future.

Does it feel like hardened skin or is it keratin like the beak? I am concerned that there might be blood supply in there if it is skin and could hurt if it was trimmed off. I would just keep an eye on it and measure it and see if it grows, it it does grow maybe take him to vet and have them anesthetize the area and cut it off properly.

Good question - it seems to be hardened skin (it's not a hard growth), so blood flow to the area is likely.

It looks like skin to me. If you clip it off it will likely bleed.
