Phoenix Zoo pumpkin stomp and chomp

This week the Phoenix Zoo is having their week long "Boo at the Zoo" event. I wasn't that interested (it is still too hot!) till I saw that their tortoises were scheduled to get special fall treats! So I took my youngest to check it out while the big ones were at school.

The first one had a hard time figuring it out. But then the zookeeper sweet talked Junior into coming over.
He LOVED the pumpkin! And that first tortoise just started paying more attention to all the kids watching. I don't think they usually get this much attention.

And of choose we had to check out the big one.
My daughter wad being a stinker and didn't want to take any pictures- this wad the best I got.

Thank you guys! We had so much fun just sitting in the tortoise area for almost an hour. Emma still calls them turtles, but we are working on that.
