plant help?

072.JPG 073.JPG so i took some dirt from my vegetable garden so i could plant some dandelions in a paper cup, and i only planted 2-5 seeds. but there is way more than that in the cup! i think i might know what is is, but i dont the name. are these dandelions? sorry for the side ways pictures :(

Almost every seed that sprouts comes out of the ground like that - a stem with two little leaves at the top. Because of the red stem, I'm going to guess spurge, however, you're going to have to wait until the next set of leaves develops before we can know for sure.

That's what it's called! It probably is spurge, it's abundant in my garden

Each plant has millions of sticky seeds on it, so if you don't pull them up before they go to see, you will have hundreds of plants.

Yeah I know. I guess I'll have to put the dandelion seeds in a wet paper towel and let them germinate, then plant them, so I'm sure they're dandelions
