Go to a local nursery and ask what it is. Then let us know. It looks like a mallow family plant to me.

I can’t say what it is but pretty sure it isn’t a mallow. Mallows don’t have those pretty scallopy edges that I see on those leaves. They have relatively straight lines with prominent veining.

There are a couple different weeds that look similar, and all are not edible: creeping charlie, purple dead nettle and henbit. It is NOT in the mallow family.

I would like to say thank you to everyone for the help, I was going to reseed a small portion of the yard already, so I will take yvonnes word and just reseed entire enclosure instead to be safe.
