Plant light help?

My Ball python is in a bio active terrarium and I have the grow light from the bio dude for his plants and they are doing really well but the bulb recently went out. I went on their website to get a replacement bulb and it turns out they don’t any and when I sent them an email about it they said it was still in production and no date when it would be released. The only replacement bulb they have I can’t use for the fixture I have. I tried to look up to find a bulb that would work for it on other sites but I am not having any luck. I really don’t want to buy a whole new fixture so I was wondering if anyone knows where I could get one?

I would just go to Walmart and get some strip LEDs that can sit on top, or be mounted to a ceiling. You just plug them in and turn on the switch. Get two if you want it even more bright. Like these:

Is anything written on the LED bulb? How big is the housing? T5 LEDs are type A, B, or C. Since it says T5 fluorescent won't work, that should rule out type A. I'd think it was type B since thats more common, but if they're trying to create their own ecosystem of fixtures/bulbs, it might be Type C with a driver in the housing.

Also, from the pictures it looks like the LEDs are visible, so I wouldn't use it over an animal. LED bulbs with diffusers are better and less harsh.

I checked the bulb and it says T5 I think I bought the only replacement bulb they had on their site the last time it went out but I didnt notice it say not use that bulb with the fixture. It was so long ago and even longer since I had the original bulb that came with the fixture. That is a major oops on my part. My ball python is in a 90 gallon terrarium with plans to move him into a bigger 4x2x2.

I use them over my planted terrariums and have to cut the plants back regularly.

I would show some pics but honestly im kinda embarrased with it. It was my first attempt at bioactive years ago and It shows. At this point its just a forest of pothos but I believe I can do better now and when I upgrade him to a new bigger enclosure I will share pictures of the process.

Im sadly low on funds at the moment and since I need to buy more than one, I saw that these lights are cheaper. I would like to know if these are safe in an enclosure with reptiles.

Do you have a Harbor Freight nearby?
I placed their strip LED grow light fixtures over my Chameleons and the plants grew like crazy.
I think they're about $20 and mine lasted for years until I stopped keeping Chameleons

These are RED and BLUE. They don't provide a lot of other light.
My Pathos and Sheffleras (spelling?) Did really well with them. And they are cool to the touch.

From the description it seems that this fixture has combination of blue, red and white diodes. And, given its wattage, diodes are placed scarsely. I would not use in reptile enclosures.

Generic shoplights or grow lights without colored diodes (pure white) would be the best. If it's for the "forest of pothos" then no fancy lights are required.

I want to eventually place more variety of plants when I upgrade in his enclosure. Would adding something to diffuse the lights help at all?
