Plants and pellets for hermann

So I have a bowl of some tortoise food in the enclosure as well as have broadleaf plant seeds from tortoise supply growing . Problems I've been having are mold on the food after two or three days- is this normal from the moisture or how can I prevent this? I removed his bowl whenever I would mist the enclosure, but somehow the food still gets moldy. I've planted seeds throughout the enclosure, but it seems that Morty (le hermann) eats whatever grows overnight. Is it necessary to separately plant the seeds, and later transplant after they've grown more ?.. Or how can I help the plants to promote growth while they're saplings and he tramples them??

Moist food should not be left in a bowl for more than a day.

It works to grow plants in trays. Switch them out in time to allow the grazed plants to recover.
