Hello all, I have not posted in a while.....
But I'm looking for some small plants or some grass seeds I can put in my torts enclosure to create sight barriers and decorate the enclosure up a bit (although I'm sure my turtle could care less). I don't have much of a green thumb so something easy, and safe, to keep up in the enclosure.

Right now the substrate is topsoil and coco coir mix which holds humidity very well. I was thinking about some leaf litter in the fall but I've had some problems with bugs when I got the leaves and brought them in. I hate bugs (although I was thinking about putting some pill bugs in the enclosure so he'd have some fun digging them up)
Will take pics of the enclosure soon!

Here's Tate though...

Hi Crissy.

These are the best two seeds mixes I have found, and I've tried many.

I don't think the box turtle will eat the grass, but it will grow up and give him cover for sure.

Your turtle has a gorgeous face, by the way.
Thank you, Well I will definitely look up those seeds.
And he like to take pics. Curious little bugger and always interested in what I'm doing if I'm moving around in the room and he can see me and wants a shell scratch or a pat on the head.

His current enclosure:
-3.5 x 2
-two story with ramp
-balcony area is where he goes to warm himself and eat
-first level has tons of space and water dish
-can burrow and has a big area to walk around underneath the balcony and ramp

(The little blue balls in there are small cat toys. He likes to play with them and push them around and hear the little bells inside jingle.)

Just looking to spruce the enclosure up a bit.
