plastic in terrarium? HELP!

hi all,
i use a wooden terrarium that i built and i have plastic in it to protect the wood from the dirt, substrate, and water. but my tort is chewing through the plastic and climbed through it the other day and got stuck. luckily i was there and could help him but he could really hurt himself like this. does anyone have another idea of what i can lay down instead of plastic tarp so he doesn’t hurt himself?

I would use a heavier duty tarp and use some pvc trim board to cover the exposed tarp sticking above the substrate. A pond liner would be even better.

U can buy at home depot or prob find cheaper on amazon

I would also give hime extra long soaks for the next week and make sure hes acting and pooping normally.. just in case he did end up eating some of the plastic. Good luck!
