I'm hoping this isn't shell rot but if it is what can I do to tackle this issue?

I posted this picture already with no responses. Let's give this another go. Is his shell ok? Am I dealing with rot?? Thanks!!

Looks like the start of shell rot to me. You can do a search for shell rot. We have quite a few threads on the subject and many of them tell you how to care for it.
