Please Help! Worms!!!!

Hello I've had my Russian for about two months and have never seen anything like this in his poop I was bathing him and he pooped upon switching the water out i saw what looks like worms and I have never seen this is his poop before what can it be from how do I get rid of them??

Did you actually see worms, or was it just white stuff?
Look in that jelly-like finger - WORMS!!!

Those type parasites are killed with Panacur. Get the dosage from your vet.

The white is steam from the hot water I was rinsing the bowl with he wasn't in there at the time

Did you see post # 3? Yvonne's reply?

Try just taking a stool sample to the vet, since your tortoise isn't sick. Hopefully he will give you the medicine without charging you for an office visit.

Yes. The vet can look at the stool specimen and determine what kind of worms they are.

Then he can give you the proper dewormer to get rid of them.

Frequently you give 2 doses, about 2 weeks apart.

Just do what the vet says.

I would just take some poop. If you take him, the vet will charge you for an office visit. If he is an exotics vet, that can be $100. I'm just trying to save you some money.
