That looks like an ornate but I could be wrong. It's been many years since I have had any type of box turtle.

I'd go with Ornate Box Turtle as well. Looks like he/she has been through a lot -- give him/her extra love!! :tort:

I think ornate, female judging from the flat plastron. A little hard to tell with the tail the way it is on the pic. Shell is rough, is that because she's been burrowing in a rocky area? Constant rubbing? She's a cutie! Good luck!

Id say its definitly an ornate but to help determine the gender what color are the eyes?
