I think I already know the answer to this but I'm going to pose the question anyway. Have any of you tried feeding pomegranates to your redfoots? The seeds make me nervous, and I know their native range is no where near South America, I'm just curious.

I have two hatchlings (~3.5 months old).

Thoughts?

I have a pomegranate tree in my Manouria rain forest. When the fruit is ripe, I'll knock them down and lightly step on them to open them for the tortoises. They usually take a few bites then leave it alone. I think if I would take the time to take the seeds out of the peeling, they might eat it, but the white stuff and peel is bitter-tasting.
