Poop question.....

So I know this is a weird question.....but what does ideal tortoise poop look like? Is it supposed to be dry, wet, hard or soft? Just curious.....I'm trying to make sure my tort is pooping normally.

But of course that poop is from giants, so don't panic if yours isn't that big, yet.

Yeah. His definitely isn't that big yet. It's about the size of a 8-10 lb dog in comparison. But his poop when we got him was very dried pellets, and has gotten a tad bit softer so I wanted to make sure that was normal.

Bahahaha! Not at all. I'm actually an emergency veterinary technician. I deal with poo all day. It's one of the reasons I know checking poo can be an important part of health! Lol. I'm actually grateful for the pics. I thought my dude was pooping a lot, so I'm glad it's normal to see! His appetite is up, he's active, and social. He's becoming everything I've heard a sulcata should be! Makes me so happy to experience it.

I have two saints! Only two of my six. Lots of poop on my end too! Thought my dogs are raw fed so maybe a little less than people would expect.

I know what you mean - only recently I said that 18 months ago I never thought I'd be 'liking' photos of poop!!

My tortoises is a bit harder and more brown but aldabramans is a very good example.
