So I know this is a weird question.....but what does ideal tortoise poop look like? Is it supposed to be dry, wet, hard or soft? Just curious.....I'm trying to make sure my tort is pooping normally.

But of course that poop is from giants, so don't panic if yours isn't that big, yet.

Yeah. His definitely isn't that big yet. It's about the size of a 8-10 lb dog in comparison. But his poop when we got him was very dried pellets, and has gotten a tad bit softer so I wanted to make sure that was normal.

230 pounds. How much does she weigh after dropping that load, 195 LOL? WOW, I see why you fill up so many buckets a day

~ LOL. We always like to see lots of poop, means they are eating good and healthy.

Bahahaha! Not at all. I'm actually an emergency veterinary technician. I deal with poo all day. It's one of the reasons I know checking poo can be an important part of health! Lol. I'm actually grateful for the pics. I thought my dude was pooping a lot, so I'm glad it's normal to see! His appetite is up, he's active, and social. He's becoming everything I've heard a sulcata should be! Makes me so happy to experience it.

I know what you mean - only recently I said that 18 months ago I never thought I'd be 'liking' photos of poop!!:)
