Does anyone have experience of caring for a tortoise after C Section?
Our female laid a clutch of three eggs and like last year was trying again four weeks later.
This time though she tried for nine days without success. The Vet x rayed her and she had a further three eggs but obstructed.
C Section saved her life and recovery has been slow and after four weeks she is doing much better, eating well and alert.
However, she has recently passed on two occasions what looks like tissue material.
Having the recent procedure I assume it is something from her gynae tract expelling after the surgery.
Thankfully it’s not offensive or bloody so we are not worried about an infection.
Does anyone have experience of anything similar? I emailed the Vet who said as long as she was fine to ignore it but he didn’t comment on what the tissue could be from or why after so long post surgery.
