Previous owners knew nothing!

I just picked up a female russian tort. I asked what they fed her and they said the only things theyve ever given her are carrots and romane. Ive read that these are toxic to russians and I need to know! Is my new girl gonna be okay??

Those things are not toxic at all, but not the best diet all by themselves.

Tortoises are very resilient. With the proper environment, diet and hydration, your tortoise should be fine.
