I offered my torts pumpkin for the first time today. I softened it by cooking it, then forked it out of the shell, didn't blend it. One of the three torts went nuts for it, the others were less interested. This evening, Miss Pumpkin Eater is producing runny poos. Normal color, but runny. Is pumpkin a bit laxative?

I noticed that Nelson's poop wasn't as firm after he tried pumpkin for the first time last week. And he pooped on his slate tile so it looks especially gross :p

Ok, thanks, that is reassuring. I thought it was too much of a coincidence to be worried about another cause for the runnies.

We always give are tortoises pumpkins during the pumpkin season and we never cook it, they eat it raw, the whole pumkin. Then we see pumkin plants coming up all over the fields. Goes for watermelon also.
